Power up the drone and go?

Not just like that.

Power up the drone and go? If only it were that simple. Take a look under the hood of professional flight operations. Learn how VCA safety and ISO quality standards make the crucial difference in the professional drone world.

We fly according to the highest standards. That is Zero Gravity.

Drone work is often associated with machines that effortlessly glide through the air, capturing impressive imagery. But behind the scenes lies a well-thought-out system that ensures everything proceeds safely, responsibly, and according to the highest quality standards. We do this not only for our own safety but also to meet strict requirements. In this blog, we share how we elevate our operations to a higher level using VCA and ISO 9001.

What is VCA and why is it important?

VCA (Safety, Health, and Environment Checklist Contractors) is a certification that proves a company complies with strict safety regulations. We are VCA-certified with two stars, which means that not only does our organization meet these standards, but all our employees also hold a VCA VOL certificate. This allows us to work at locations with stringent safety requirements, such as construction sites, chemical plants, and industrial estates, places where only certified companies are permitted to operate.

Safety in practice: our toolboxes

VCA is all about risk management. We regularly perform workplace inspections to verify that all safety protocols are being followed. This includes the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and the assessment of high-risk situations, such as working near water or at heights. In addition, we organize monthly safety sessions (toolboxes) where we cover topics such as:

  • Traffic safety

  • The safe handling of LiPo batteries

  • Safe lifting of heavy materials

  • Protection against harmful noise

ISO 9001: Quality guaranteed

In addition to safety, quality is also essential to our work. Thanks to our ISO 9001 certification, we have implemented a quality management system that ensures the satisfaction of our clients. This means that we continuously evaluate and improve our processes, so that we always provide a reliable and consistent service.

ISO 9001 ensures that we maintain a standardized approach. This means that a visual inspection performed today is carried out with the same level of care as one performed tomorrow. This allows new clients to trust immediately that we always deliver the same high quality, regardless of previous collaborations.

The difference between just flying and professional operations

Our certifications are not only important for our internal management; they also offer significant advantages for our clients. Many tenders and contracts set strict requirements for participating parties. In many cases, a VCA 2-star certification and ISO 9001 are actually prerequisites to even be considered. This allows us to carry out assignments that remain inaccessible to many competitors who lack these certificates.

Furthermore, these certifications ensure that we guarantee not only safety and quality but also reliability. Clients know that we don’t just operate on a “power up and go” basis, but that there is a well-thought-out system behind us that complies with laws, regulations, and the highest industry standards.

Under the hood of Zero Gravity: What you don't see, but what makes the difference

The work we do might seem simple from the outside, but appearances can be deceiving. Behind every flight lies extensive administration, internal checks, and the continuous optimization of our methods. Thanks to our certifications, we don’t just comply with regulations; we proactively ensure a safe and efficient working environment.

Safety and quality are not choices for us; they are the standard. This is the difference that Zero Gravity makes.
